The EBC springs (10%heavier than stock) have always worked fine for me with no slipping, but I have always also replaced the frictions when using them, YMMV.

My Venturer is still using the original clutch springs, but trust these folks when they say to use Barnett clutch springs. In the moto-cross racing world, EBC clutch springs were a common joke amongst us. EBC brake pads are at the other end of the spectrum though.

I have never tried the heavy duty Barnett springs, just wondering if you need a Popeye grip to operate the lever, extra stress on the clutch cable possibly?

It is noticably stiffer but it doesn't take long to get used to. I've had Barnetts in mine about 3 years and conservatively 40K miles without any cable problems................or clutch slippage. I am NOT nice to my bike sometimes.

I didnt notice very much difference, nothing thats going to make your left forearm grow in size. If your lucky it might get bigger and match your right.
