Batwing!

My dad really wants a harley but who can aford one? He currently has an XJ750 and i have found him a 79SF for trade.

Hes not as excited about it as i am. He wants a windshild and bags like a harley. I personaly dont like the look of the vetter front end, but i do have one if he wants to use it.

My question is does any one has a batwing on the front of there bikes? Can you post pics and where did you get it? Thanks, Greg

Ive searched all the threads on here everyone says ill post pics when done but noone followed up on it. Any one with one want to post here i would really like to see what it looks like on an 11.

I hung a HD batwing on my other Honda 1800. It wasn't an easy task but there are other options out there like the Memphis Shades batwing. Check out my website in my signature and follow the links to the motorcycle stuff

Ive looked on ebay at those and thats probably the route im going but the pics they show are genaric i would like to see what one actualy looks like on an XS1100.

Hi I remember a Yellow XS650 with simular bags and fairing.
It was on the site with XSJohn may he rest in peace.
For some reason I recall that fellars name was Jayel.

Has your dad ever driven a Harley? Has he ever driven YOUR XS11? Have you asked him why he wants a Harley aside from the bragging rights? Have you informed him about the lack of performance power of a stock Harley vs. an XS11? I was wondering what a batwing was when I saw this thread, never heard it called that! I, too, prefer the handlebar mounted fairings vs. the full Frame mounted fairings..lighter, less bulky! I don't want/need any storage space up front, just want to block the wind/rain. I have my saddlebags and trunk bag for storage.

Plus blustery wind isn't transferred to the handlebars/forks. My next big bike will be a frame mount either a Wing or a Road Glide

works well drafts the breeze forward and rain goes over the top bike had a Vetter originally and cross winds were a bi**h with it, this fairing no problem, as for mounting it just depends on what mounts the fairing has mine comes off the top fork pinch bolts for the upper mounts and then the bottoms go to the fork tubes (rubber sleeves with radiator hose clamps) with L brackets
