    Argh! Choke springs...

    When I started cleaning my carbs I saved the little ball bearings (still have them) but I couldn't get the springs out of the choke mechinism. I figured they were frozen in place. I figured wrong. Somewhere on the way to the weld shop to get the carb post TIG welded back together ($10, perfect job) the springs fell out.
    So. Does anyone either have a pair for sale or know where I can get them?
    80 G, Spaghetti pipes, K&N in stock airbox, Galfer S/S lines.

    ive never tried it but have heard a spring
    from a pen might work. jat

      I'll try that when I get home, but I think the originals were a smaller diameter and tighter wind.
      80 G, Spaghetti pipes, K&N in stock airbox, Galfer S/S lines.

          Crazy Steve helped me out with the same problem. Also put me into some of the ball bearings at the same time. Great guy and a huge help.

            Those springs are MUCH stronger than a pen spring. I have sused a pen spring to substitute for the brake light switch, but they woudl not hold the choke in place.
