Yes. You have to repin the connectors, as the wiring won't match your application.

And the mikes XS controls do not have the hazard switch. You could gowecer use the old housing and hazard switch and the new internal from the mikesxs ones.

            Tom,

Don't cut any wires. I don't know if the 650 has the same shape connector or not. In any case, the wires will likely be in the wrong positions in the connector for your bike.

When the pins are installed in the connector, there's a small tab that pops up to lock it in place. You should be able to find something to push it down and remove the pin and the wire. Using an ohm meter, you should be able to figure out which wire goes to what switch. Reinstall the wires/pins using the wiring diagram for your bike.

Don't cut and splice here! Just opening yourself up to corrosion later on. The pins can be remived from the little plastic connector, so take the connector off of the new switch housing and then one by one take the wires out of the old plastic connector and put the new wires from the new housing in so that all the wire functions match up

No hazards, no problems with that then. I think '80 is when they started putting the hazards in there. Prior years did not have hazards.

80 & 81 Specials have the HAZARD switch. It may be the same for the standards, but I'm not qualified to answer that. For sure, not all XS11s have HAZARD flashers.

80 and 81 standards in stock shape have the hazard switch as well, it's common to the 80 and later bikes, the control pods are the same for special and standard at least as far as the controls go.

Radio Shack has a pin remover tool. Works pretty good. Slips down over the pin, depresses the holding tip, then the plunger pushes it out the back. Also removes tubes the same way.
