  • xj brakes wont stop stopping

My front brake on the ape is dragging so i pulled the caliper off and i have it here at work on the bench. I can't for the life of me get the piston out. I shot some blaster in it and tried to wiggle it with a pair of channel locks it just barely moves. i put 125 psi of air to it and it still wont wiggle out with channel locks. I'm thinking about screwing a grease gun fitting into the hole and seeing if the pressure from pumping grease into it will work it loose. please help!!!

Put a bolt in the hose connection hole, then put the grease gun on the bleed screw (cracked open of course). Give'er the grease and the piston will come right out....

You'll have a mess to clean out, but this works every time. You probably have corrosion behind the piston seals.

Just hook it up to your master cylinder while clear of the rotor and pump it out that way. Do it over a container so you don't get fluid all over.

              Font is too small

Pete I cannot read your response. The font is too small and just looks like dots to me.
