    To be honest, it's always worth having a spare of this component. If you clean the old bearing in situ, with something like white spirit, to get rid of all the old grease, you'll soon know if it's worn or damaged, as it will feel loose or crunchy. In some cases, the needle rollers actually pop out and fall everywhere...generally a sign that the bearing is no good!
