I dont have my bike here with me and i want to order tires for it. What sizes are the tires for a 80G I was thinking that the Front was a 100-90-19 and the rear was 130-something-16. But im not sure. I remember there being 2 different size rear wheels. Mine is stock so anyone have the specs? Thanks.

Specials used a 130-90-16 .
Standards (which is what your G should have unless it has been swapped) is a 130-90-17.
Front is 100-90-19 as you stated.Nathan

If you want, a 110/90-19 fits up front. I choose to use 110 over the 100/90's... JAT'79 XS11 F

It should also be pointed out that swapping to the 16" rear wheel will reduce the overall tire diameter by a inch; that will increase your cruise rpm by about 400.Fast, Cheap, Reliable... Pick any two

I've tried a 110/90/19 S11 Bridgestone on the front of my Special and it is too wide, although the Shinko 712 of the same size will fit, it is just a tad narrower.2H7 (79) owned since '89

I'm running a Metzeler 110-90 on a Special. No probs. Made the speedo dead-on with my GPS. I have run a 140 Dunlop E III rear no prob either. If you get one with raised white letters, the letters rub the drive shaft housing.1980 XS 11 Special: The King of Kong, 9th wonder of the world. +1 with Poprock. I run the Dunlop E III 140/16 on my MNS, and the only problem I have is putting more than 38psi in the rear will cause it to rub slightly. Since I ride it solo almost all the time, it's not a problem. The front is an E III MM90-19.Ray Matteis
