  • TKAT brace on the XJ11

My first TKAT fork brace needed a different upper section. I sent TKAT exacting measurements from my XJ11 and just got to ride with the new brace today. There is a definite difference; Between the built in fork brace in the XJ11 fender and this additional stiffness, it's a really nice feel.
82 XJ1100 Maxim "hurricane"- DEKA EXT18L AGM battery , NGK BPR6EIX spark plugs, Green Dyna coils, Sylvania SilverStar Ultra H4 bulb, 139 dB Stebel Nautilus air horn, Home-made K&N air filter based on an original paper filter frame, new piston rings, Barnett Clutch Springs, SS braid/Teflon brake lines, TKAT fork brace, rebuilt calipers, master cylinders, new brakes, reupholstered seat, lotsa little things and so many answered questions here.

Yes, it took a little time but I have to say he's fun to work with. He's a character & wants his product to be right. Considering the time needed to make these things, he's not charging enough for them. There's a lot of really difficult machining involved. In H.S. I took machine shop for 3 years and the set-ups for this stuff are killer.

Yes I too can appreciate the machining involved...I used to be an asst teacher in a vocational machine shop class for deaf students and I learned alot that way. I loved using endmills, grinders and lathes along with all the other more common tools of the trade. His product quality is 1st rate and it has noticibly improved front end handling and ride quality...I'm very glad I stuck it out with him...
