The one thing you need to keep track of is which inlet/velocity stack is which. They only fit 'right' one way; the inner two are the same, but the outer two are side-specific.Fast, Cheap, Reliable... Pick any two

Test-fit the airbox to the carbs before trying it on the bike...Fast, Cheap, Reliable... Pick any two

The reason I suggest a test fit is to make sure the inlets are all correct...Fast, Cheap, Reliable... Pick any two

I made a rookie mistake of taking those two philips screws from top bracket outand the other two on the sides as well and I tell you...if you're patient it's not too bad to put it all back in LOLNick

One other thing that should be mentioned when swapping carbs/airboxes; while the boxes all look the same and will interchange, there is one mechanical difference. The 78-79 carbs have separate float bowl vents that go to nipples on the airbox. The nipples are on all the airboxes, but aren't drilled on the '80-81 versions. So depending on which carbs/airbox you have, you may need to drill or plug those nipples...Fast, Cheap, Reliable... Pick any two

You've got the late carbs IIRC, so you don't need the vents. If the vents are open on the airbox, you should plug them...Fast, Cheap, Reliable... Pick any two
