aren't the sidewall specs the maximum recommended pressure, at which it can carry it's maximum recommended load?
Didn't you really mean that the other way round?

Believe it's meant as stated Fred......and is correct. Max load rated psi on tire is where they seem to perform and wear the best.......least been my experience for several decades.

Hey Fred,

I just meant that he should use the specific tire's sidewall specs as a guide, not the 30 year old manual since tire technology has changed a bit, and he can then adjust the level to his preference/comfort and riding style. I don't run at FULL/MAX load inflation myself because I almost never have my bike loaded enough to reach the max load weight capacity. I like a little softer inflation for cushion affect as well....YMMV!
