  • Brake Pads Wearing at an angle

Hey everyone. So I'm almost ready to fire up the bike, just waiting on new plugs and new pod filters from MikesXS. I went through the brakes while waiting, and I needed to because there was almost no fluid in the lines to speak of. Anyway, the pads are worn at an angle, there is alot of play at the hinge pin that is allowing the pads to be torqued at an angle. It looks like it is supposed to be that way though as all four pads have the exact same hole size.

I was just wondering if this is common or if I need to replace something?

the brakes should be angled and there should be some play at the hinge pin.
the caliper should just kinda hang there.

      Angle is correct form

They're made that way. Brand new ones will have same angle cut. Kinda wierd first time you see it.

        Hi Josh,
lucky you, to ask before tossing the pads and then finding they were supposed to be tapered when the new ones showed up.
        Weird innit?
Almost as weird as the engine turning backwards.
Took me months to find that out, too.
