I like the round headlight. I would change the clocks to round ones or get a big headlight from a Seca for the square ones to hide behind.

I like your choice of colors.

Nice metal flake paint and I like the striping. Thought about ghost flaming my tank and flowing it into the side covers, but I think that is been overdone lately anyway.

The round headlight does look nice, I was wondering how you held it in place as I see no brackets on the fork tubes.

                  Hi GT,
MikesXS sells a complete new 7" headlight for ~$70 or mebbe 1/2 of that for a used one at your average swapmeet.
Round speedos from any XS series bike will fit and read correctly.
The round electronic tach is only found on XS11 Specials.
It reads correctly too but it don't have the Standard's fuel gauge in it.
There's a red "low fuel" warning light instead and to make it work you need the thermistor sender out of a Special's gas tank.
Which will fit in your Standard tank but needs to be installed with it's wires pointing forward or it'll be in there upside down and won't turn the warning light on until there's only ~ a 1/4-mile of reserve gas left.

I made a bracket that bolts to the bottom bolts of the bottom triple tree mount. I was pretty easy i just used a piece of angle iron from the hardware store downtown. The light has a mounting bolt on the bottom of it and i drilled a hole in my angle iron for the mount.

i have a small headlight like yours on mine, mine is a sidemount and i had to reverse the headlight ears, and it bolted right up. it is really tight and i am getting ready to switch my bulb out for one that you can get from your local auto parts store, it has the same connection as the original headlight so it will just plug right in. alot brighter than the one that came with the light.

and yes it is off of a special (round gauges). the speedo is fine but the tach is toast. but at least that way all you have to do is get a tach.
