Jeremy, if you have the forks pulled out of the trees, you have half the work completed to change the fork seals. It is a simple process, and the seals are maybe $15 depending on shipping. So, I would recommend changing them now, it will REALLY suck if you get the bike all put back together and then you find you need new seals when oil is leaking.

I know that not everyone can bring the bike into the house but perhaps you could borrow the use of a shed?
That said, let me add to the recommendation that you change the fork seals now rather than later.
