I would try some dish soap. Most solvents will damage the shield. Possibly some "goof off" try it in a small area that will not obstruct your view (if it causes it to go cloudy) then clean it off it may not go cloudy untill it dries.

Years ago I worked with a company that built fiberglass surrounds that used Plexiglas and acrylic. We cleaned the fiberglass with acetone (the gel coat was not harmed by it) but I can’t remember what was used to clean the Plexiglas when overspray got on it.

Could use a headlight restoration kit and clean of any scratches at the same time.

By the way. This paint is dried. I would rather not scrape it off to prevent scratching

I am not doubting you, but I know that acetone eats a lot of plastics like candy. I put some permanent pingerprints on my garage telephone once!

I agree. I'd stay away from acetone unless you have something you don't mind destroying to test it on. Try dish soap and a rag that won't scratch the paint. If its a big spot that may take it off. If not, then resort to the nasty chemicals.

Well it was actually the entire windshield that was painted. I managed to get the paint off but now the windshield looks like this

What do I do for this?

                    Hi Mike,
                    it's f**ked as is, right?
Try a low speed buffing wheel with a fine car paint restoration compound.
