I would try some dish soap. Most solvents will damage the shield. Possibly some "goof off" try it in a small area that will not obstruct your view (if it causes it to go cloudy) then clean it off it may not go cloudy untill it dries.
Years ago I worked with a company that built fiberglass surrounds that used Plexiglas and acrylic. We cleaned the fiberglass with acetone (the gel coat was not harmed by it) but I can’t remember what was used to clean the Plexiglas when overspray got on it.Ty

I agree. I'd stay away from acetone unless you have something you don't mind destroying to test it on. Try dish soap and a rag that won't scratch the paint. If its a big spot that may take it off. If not, then resort to the nasty chemicals.Originally posted by skids View Post1979 XS1100Comment

Well it was actually the entire windshield that was painted. I managed to get the paint off but now the windshield looks like this
