        Thanks for the info. I figured the light was. Short or a ground issue. Still trying to figure out a brake pd number so I can order some.

            hey troney, i have a parts 82 virago 920 that has those adjustable bars that i have already taken off. I think they are the same as yours. Did you figure out what was wrong with yours and if you need a set? If you need a set, pm me, you may want to make sure they are the same as the virago 920 though.

              Real Handle bars on a XJ

              I have a XJ and put "regular" bars on. I used clamps from a donor bike and made spacers (risers) from some octagon bar stock. had to enlarge mounting holes slightly. Had to make a mirror arm as the original mounts for the mirrors now were at a strange angle. I broke my wrist years ago and needed to keep my wrist straight which I could not do with the stock adjustable bars. I had to do some other mods to make everything work.
