Actually I have this issue as well. I have one that looks like it is just a slide on clip and one wire that looks like it is direct wired. Both are off the tank the direct wired is broken. on a 82 XJ1100.82 XJ1100Comment

yup. for some reason one wire is soldered on and the other is a spade connector. it is still the fuel level sender though.Nathan

The XJ has the same 2 wire plug as the XS's in a 3 pin plug connector.79SF

i would pull the gas tank and see if its connected to the sender. 2 wires?, i believe thats exactly where it goes.Max
