yup...........post us the frame model# of the top left side sterring neck, and the model# off the motor found on the right-side top of engine case. Both, as as you say, things have been changed and the motor may or may not match the frame year/model.81H Venturer1100 "The Bentley" (on steroids) 97 Yamaha YZ250(age reducer) 92 Honda ST1100 "Twisty"(touring rocket) Age is relative to the number of seconds counted 'airing' out an 85ft. table-top.

The motor on my bike is not the original. The original motor had a hole in one of the pistons. So i got a different one and had to change the head on it cuz someone left a loose bolt in the intake and i didnt catch it before i swaped motors. But i should still have the motor i took off ill look and see if the numbers are the same. Will post updates tommorow. Thanks.80 XS1100G Black Betty (Daily Driver)

Depending how molested the machine is, everything from bars to rear fender could be a swap from a diff year or model. Seen some XS11s that spans it all, in some ways my current one does.Life is what happens while your planning everything else!

BTW, that frame date WILL be the manufacturing date, and actual model year will be the year after......81H Venturer1100 "The Bentley" (on steroids) 97 Yamaha YZ250(age reducer) 92 Honda ST1100 "Twisty"(touring rocket) Age is relative to the number of seconds counted 'airing' out an 85ft. table-top.

it's not a Special now, no. But just about everything can be swapped between Standards & Specials and there's lots of Frankenbikes around.

OK, the chart sez that frame ID makes the bike an '80 Standard.
So where's the effin' pictures? If, as you say, "nothing is original" we'd all like to see what's been done to it.Fred Hill, S'toon
