Hey, for anyone who is running these green monsters, what plug wires are you using, and where did you get them from? Just bought a set of coils...now I need the sparky hoses to make the engine go boom!

Any solid core spark plug wire will work. Plenty of online sources and color options. I got some once from a small engine repair place.Nathan

I use 8.8mm ACCEL stainless wires. Work great and hold up well. Got them several yearsa go from Dennis Kirk.Mike Giroir

Once you un-can a can of worms, the only way to re-can them is with a bigger can.

I've had Green Meanies in two bikes and I always use silicone leads with graphite cores.... no metal in them at all. The silicone sheathing is ultra flexible and the graphite core is very low resistance and makes for a very flexible lead.
I used them in conjunction with iridium plugs, having removed and bypassed the resistors from normal HT caps (because iridium plugs have a resistor in them already). You get a whopping spark with that setup. I had one through my hand, body and earthing through both feet. A hell of a punch.XS1100F 1980 European model. Standard. Dyna coils. Iridium plugs. XS750 final drive (sometimes). Micron fork brace. Progressive front springs. Geezer regulator/rectifier. Stainless 4 into 2 exhaust. Auto CCT (Venturer 1300) SOLD. New project now on the go. 1980 European model.

You know what James? I will take your word for it, and try very hard not to duplicate that experiment What is the part number for the iridium plugs for this bike? I will have to check around and see who has the best pricing for the silicone and graphite jobs you mentioned.Joab
