yeah those mounts are going to be a headache, thanks for the pics it helps a lot...if i cant find any its going to end up being some kind of hose-clamp and zip-tie monstrosity, and thats not the look i'm going for. but again if anyone has any past experience rigging this stuff up to look somewhat clean i'd love to hear what you did

Or make up a L bracket to bolt onto the lower trees and then bolt the light to the bracket.
Hose clamps and zip ties look bad.Nathan

I found one (right I think) on ebay.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-NOS-C...item2a17c515a5
It's a little pricey, but it looks to be in mint condition.
the part numbers are 2h7-23132-00-00 and 23122 (right/left)
I hope that helps a little. The bracket idea seems like it might work. Bolt them right to the lower tree and then use any XS light.Hi, my name is George & I'm a twisty addict!

I just had a look and took a scale with me. Those Motolanna brackets will work on the Special. Best I can tell the bolt spacing on the lower tree is the same on the XS11 and the XS650. Bolts are perpendicular to the tire on both bikes.Marty (in Mississippi)

Thanks Marty!
Good info.
I like that site! That aluminum swingarm looks sweet.
