since xs650 & xs750 's around 77-79 use the same Mikuni carbs, anyone ever tried mixing & matching, or, for parts? Just wondering about compatibility & small parts interchanging.

Well, I suppose that's good advice in general, but I rebuild my carbs in '04 with '79 XS750 kits, so I have XS750 main jet needles, jets, etc. Don't ask me the needle numbers, i haven't looked at em in a few years, but they work fine.Former owner, but I have NO PARTS LEFT!

if your just wanting to replace misc parts and want to know if they can be swapped, same from one carb as the one your putting them into, just look up the fiche for part numbers, if same, why not.81 XS1100HComment

'77 650 Carb Swap
My '77 XS650D has BS38 carbs so I wouldn't imagine too many parts will swap, but I have entertained the idea of using the BS38 carbs on an Eleven
