Don't quote me on this because I'm certainly no expert, but it looks as if that "other" glass fuse only powers the screw terminal right below it. Mine didn't even have a fuse in it, and everything on the bike appears to work (more or less.) Maybe most just figure it isn't worth the trouble to reroute that fuse if nothing is connected to those terminals?

I was talking about the 30A? main fuse that's on the left side of the battery.
It's in it's own little rubber caccoon just forward of the battery.
I figured if I don't put that in the fuse block, then I'd have to carry around a spare one of those too.
Now as far as the accessory fuse/terminal. I don't use it, but the fuse block does have one more open slot that I can use if I want to wire that sucker up at some point in the future.
I did notice a little better improvement in my lights and stuff after the install.
I guess those old fuse clips added a little more resistance to the overall circuits.
(not to mention that I did have one fuse vibrate out a while back. Those old clips get worn out over the years.)
I have a battery tender and use a cigarette lighter plug with an SAE connector to plug directly to the battery.Last edited by GLoweVA; 01-13-2012, 10:55 AM.Hi, my name is George & I'm a twisty addict!

79sf
The 79SF doesn't have that one, it's in the fuse box. On a postive note, all the battery related problems I "thought" I was haveing were fixed when I replaced the fuse boxOriginally posted by Danny Crawdad View PostAh, I cut that thing out and spliced in a blade fuse holder separate from the rest. I pull that fuse when it's parked.
