This is especially useful when you go to pull the tank off and you take the hoses off the petcocks and THEN you find out that one of them leaks because the diaphram isn't seating right.
That sounds like a good idea...

The mod for the "Off" position on the Standard taps works great... unless the diaphragm is bad and then it leaks too!

I run a single Standard tap modified for an off position with a pingel inline vac fuel shutoff. I got tired of those integral vacuum valves leaking even after rebuilding.

like previously stated this one only drips when put into "prime" posistion. So i'm gonna assume either the sealing face is pitted or rubber seal is rubbed up in that area... I would think @ worse a new rubber seal and a shine of the surface and it should be golden. I've left this thing with gas in it for months on end in the "on' and/or "res" position and have never had an issue... as soon as I put it in prime to put some gas in the carbs... drip. Once moved back, done

Is that drip coming from the carbs or from the tap itself?

The wave washer probably needs bending a bit, not gonna know till you got it apart. Maybe for reassembly use some white lithium grease on the moving parts. Thats good that it's not carbs leaking.
