I like to use safety wire for that application. The bolt heads are easy to drill even with a low-budget table top drill press, and you have an excuse to buy a neat-looking plier.

Get a catalog from any of the companys that cater to home built aircraft. (Wicks, ATC, Aircraft Spruce, etc.)
They sell neat little fixtures that make drilling holes in head or shanks a real breeze. Need a hole in the head of a dash three? Piece 'o cake. CZ
