I dont feel like taking the whole bike apart to put it on its back. I read the how to section... sounds like a pain in the a$$. I'm just gonna assume its the dogs. When i pin it in 2nd it skips about 6k. some time @ lower rpm depending on load, hill, how it feels that day. i may tackle it myself. Lord knows it ain't fixing itself!
The tranny here is pretty simple. We are just talking about back cutting some steel to make it stick in gear on a primitive 5 speed 70's trans, something Yamaha SHOULD have done in the 1st place, and did on later replacement parts. I know, getting to it is most of the battle, you might also be able to do some other stuff if you decide to "go where where no one has gone before"[ Sorry, Star Trek thing, good luck with your bike
Just trying to tell it like it is. Even if a member close by comes by, you will have to flip, lift or somehow get inside it, good luck with your bike, hope all goes well and back on the road and shifting great again
