    Clunks

    Clunks Yea, they did that when new the whole "shifts like a Russian tractor" thing I am glad your bike is working well, the clutch in these holds up well for many many miles if you adjust it and use good oil

      if the bikes idling a little high at idle itll
      clunk into 1st more so, but these are known
      to clunk into gear at the best of times.

        +1 Pete, and I have found if you pull the clutch in and hold for a few sec. and give it time to disengage, the "clunk is less
