    Nice bike

Nice bike. I was wondering if you had removed that cover to cut down on weight

      After some TLC:

Yep, the white needs to be treated, so I managed to pick up an OEM black tank and sidecovers from eBay on the cheap. I have the white tank & covers stuck to the side, it is painted with Cadillac Escalade Pearl White. Not sure if I like the badge-less look, though.

            Extra tank!

Extra tank and sidecovers is nice I am an emblem guy (I guess the OEM in my name gives that away) I don't try to fool people into thinking my bike is a vintage HD or Thriumph, the fact that I am ridding it and not loading it into my womans pick up again, kinda gives that away

James England gets my vote - The MNS is sure a beautiful machine...
Cy - Our G's are very similar. This is when I first got Bagapotomus in '09.

And this is what was in her gas tank... I think the gas is on top...

Ended up replacing that cracked fairing and gas tank because of rusty pinholes in the bottom.
When the horse is dead, dismount.

Interesting, I too ended up replacing the original tank because of pinholes (way too many of them as it turned out.) and for the fairing the one that came on it was a windjammer III but that wasn't the original but one that the most recent PO had replaced the original with because it matched the color he had repainted the bike (black). I put the original back on, and have the black windjammer III sitting in the garage as a spare. However, the gas in it when I got it was all good, as it was up and running when I bought it. The holes had been hidden with creative use of tank repair putty, which lasted about 3 months after I got it and then I figured out there was a problem and I picked up a replacement (got a GREAT deal on a 78 tank for $40 plus shipping, and it was only like $40 for the shipping which was really a good deal as it has like NO rust).
