I will only use NGK in anything i have that requires a spark plug. They proved themselves to me years ago, and i won't change. Champions went to **** in the late 60's when they changed their plugs. Coudln't give me a Champion.
He is saying to doesnt really matter, to each their own.

In any moment of decision the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing.
'Back in the Day', I wouldn't run anything in my bikes other than NGK or Autolite. Champions were 'ok', but just didn't last... But the Justice Dept made Ford sell their Autolite spark plug division, and after Fram bought it those went to sh!t big-time. So these days it's NGK only...

Really... the forum really ought to have a Quarantine Zone....... which members can enter at their peril to discuss repeatedly plugs, oil, FD swap and other similar subjects.
Hey! Why not suggest some subjects which ought, in your opinion, to be quarantined?

Even though there are a fair number of us veterans that stick around, we actually get quite a few newbies every month. We don't want to discourage the open discussions and good will that this site is known for. Yes, it gets a little old seeing yet another newbie post requesting info about oil, tires, etc..
Yet, folks never seem to fail to respond and usually in a polite manner.
If folks didn't reply to them, then perhaps the O.P. might see something like 10 or 20 VIEWS of their new thread, but no replies...they might think that we are being snobbish or something. I/We've posted in the sticky threads at the top info regarding the common topics, and requesting folks to do searches, but there is so much info and so many threads when folks search for the common topics, that they possibly get overwhelmed, or just don't want to bother sifting thru all of the threads. SO....they post a new thread in hopes of getting a fast answer.
The younger generations as well as us baby boomers are or have become more accustomed to instant gratification/info thanks to the immediacy of TV, the "NET", etc., and having to spend "time" doing research like reading thru a bunch of threads...or even just reading the TECH TIPS is too slow!
So....I guess what I'm saying is that if folks don't like the oil/tire type threads, then just don't reply to them. And those of us that do reply will "try" to be polite and direct them to where they can find the relavent info for themselves thru more precise searches and such.
