Looks like the Suzuki carbs already had the vacuum advance port.

on the suzuki carbs the outlet on number 2 carb
is for a vac petcock, it doesnt work the same way
as it does on the mikuni carbs, the vac adv on the
mikuni carbs uses ported vaccuum.pete

I've ridden behind a 79F with ZRX carbs and I'll tell you that bike was quick. We were riding mountain roads and sweepers. I remember Chris (Yamahansolo) was having some difficulty tuning them though. Good mod for some extra power.2H7 (79) owned since '89

I just had a look at a KZ1000 Police. The carburetors were Mikunis that look like what's on the Yamaha. I suppose you could use them if you used the XS space bar and linkages. This of coarse, after the supply of XS1100 carbs completely dries up.Marty (in Mississippi)
