  • Torque Spec's

    Just verifying:
    front upper brackets -24.5 ft/lbs
    front motor mounts - 48.5
    rear motor mount - 72.3
swing arm centering pins - snug
    Swing arm lock nuts- 72.3

gets bad when you can't trust the books. Don't suppose anyone has sat down and cataloged all the printed torque errors.

swing arm centering pins are 43-52 inch lbs, which is a long way short of snug in my book.

BTW that came from the old .org site from a thread on mistakes and omissions in the manuals, it was the first one in the thread, I didn't look at the others cause I remembered it being the first one. I think it there was a thread started on that over here too but I was unsuccessful at finding it and I could find it over there (the only reason I used that reference)

        Thanx

Thanx Cy, when I was younger, I could probably achieve that torque with my fingers, however that was a long time ago. I have a 1/4 drive in inch/lbs now for just this sort of thing.
