    Wow, u really resurected an old thread. Flatsides are known for their performance in other forums. I'm surprised nobody spoke-up when u asked about them.

      It's been done in the UK, from what I understand.

      The fcr flatslide carbs are very clacky at tickover though and not everyone likes it. Performance-wise, there can be a bit of a lag if the throttle is opened fully from low revs. I've heard of the engine dying completely. When I looked into them for my XJR, I spoke with a local race tuner and asked on forums etc. I'd didn't go for it in the end because the rattle would out me off. Have a listen on YouTube. People have put them on cars and personally, I think the clacking sound is off putting.
