WOW!! All alone on this mod? Mech says we can make them work. They fit the bike, as there on it now.Any help on set-up would be great. They sure look great on the bike.Nice combo with the campell x-pipe. Can't wait to get it running to hear the sound.

Not familiar with the carbs either but the 36mm carbs from a ZRX-1200 are on mine and are like night and day over the OEM carbs. If you have a vacuum madvance mechanism on your bike you might need to tap one of the carbs for metered vacuum for that.

Do a search on ZRX carbs here and you might find some helpful infor on what to do with your carb set.

39mm is a big jump from 34mm originals

Its possible to get them to run but with such a bigger choke size the air flow velocity through them will be a lot lower, this will mean you'll need to go a lot bigger on main jets and possibly needle jets to get the fuel flow to match the air flow to compensate.

I have some 36mm Keihins from a Kwak, they're big compared to the original carb rubbers but fit Ok, how have you fitted 39mm carbs to the XS1100 engine

What part of the set up? Gas lines will be easy. Just get a t if it has a single fuel hose. Also when I went to the keihn I had to use a throttle cable from a Suzuki bandit 600. 94 I think. Other than playing with the jet sizes that's all I had to do. You need to let us know the jet sizes currently on there. Pilots mains and air if it has them will it crank like it is? Does it stumble. All these thing will help us no which direction to go.

P.s. they might be too big airflow wise. I used to own an 86 Radian and it was faster than its fj600 brother in the 1/4 by 2 10ths if I remember right. And the radians carbs were smaller. I think that was the only difference. Ill like for the article when I get home.
