What did you use for your clear coat?
Does anyone know if there is a rattle can clear coat that will stand-up to a little gas?
I am trying to avoid having to buy a quart of automotive clear and it's catalyst.Mike

Omni is made by ppg, it is their economy line. Pretty good stuff. I painted a pickup a while back with omni.Nathan

There is this http://www.repaintsupply.com/pd_2_part_2k_aerosol.cfm which is two part clear in a spray can. It's not completely gas proof, but it's at least resistant unlike other spray stuff that will rinse off like water colors.Cy

Thanks for the compliments on the bike. It feels good knowing it was just a couple months ago I was on here just trying to figure this bike out and now we have it running good and looking good. I wanted the bike to have an "industrial" feel to it. I figured there was no sense in trying to make it look like a 2011 bike when it's not. I love these older style of bikes and with this one being my first, I plan to keep the "beast" until I'm buried. It has came a long way since I bought it and it didn't cost much to get it this way. The most expensive parts was the stage 3 kit, carb intake boots, and the clear coat (hardener, reducer, clear, and flattening agent). If it wasn't for my father-in-law, I would still be figuring this thing out, but he has been my mentor through this whole process. The help you guys give is pretty outstanding. I appreciate the ones that took time out to help with the annoying stuff
