I rinsed mine out with denatured alcohol and it worked very well. Unlike ice/water, the alcohol doesn't leave any residue behind when it evaporates. Although I can see were swirling the ice cubes around could help dislodge stubborn particles, so perhaps a two step cleaning would do a very nice job.
The compressed air on the alcohol at the end would have it completely dry and ready to go in a couple of seconds or less.
Unless, of course, the compressor has been blowing oil, which coated the inside of the hose, waiting to be sprayed out with the air.
