These were made by someone else, right? I like the way it looks and it's already got audio in it so I don't have to cut holes and wire stuff. I like that.

I thought all the Pacificos had rectangular headlights. This particular fairing is a style I've never seen before.

My Pacifico says Yamaha on it, has round headlight and signals. Even painted "New Yamaha Black", just like the bike. They might have made square ones for the Standards.

This came off a '79 Special. I took it off but someone had already purchased the bags and trunk from the unit. The sticker said 2/79.

From my recollection that would be about right for being shortly before the factory fire. I'd be interested in what the date is on poprocks fairing is, as everything I have says the molds were destroyed early in the 79 model year, which is one of the major reasons that the 80 model dealer fairing and the Venturer fairing were made by Vetter, as they were almost the only pretty much universal fairing manufacturer left who could take on the job for Yamaha at the time, as a Pacifico was out of business, as least as far as the XS11 specific fairings went (I'm not sure about other models, the I think ALL their molds were destroyed). I know there were some Vetter fairing models that never made it to market because the molds were destroyed in a fire before they got into production. There were on one something like 20 or 50 made, and then the molds destroyed and there is supposed to be only one left in existence.

The tag says something to the effect of made for Yamaha parts somewhere in California. I'll have to look at it tomorrow. All the lights work, although the turn signal lenses have small cracks in them and moisture behind them. I would almost bet they're the same as the stalk-mounted lights so I will check at the boneyard since I want the round rear turn signals anyway.
