My bike is marking it's location when I park it. I know the best solution would be to not park it but occasionally I have to stop. It's leaking past the neutral position sensor. I have not pulled it yet and wondered if it has a o-ring to seal it off.

Unless it is just loose, once they start leaking it is thru the center of the unit it probably can't be repaired. I tried to repair one once and broke it in the process. New one is about $16.

OK. I don't have a neutral light so I might machine a plug for it. Thanks for the info.US Army 1986-1991

You could also use a short metric bolt the proper thread pitch if you can find one with a small enough head to fit up in the recess, BTDT. IIRC, I used a rear fender bolt from a 79SF which had a small head and used the crush washer from the sensor.Last edited by bikerphil; 08-15-2011, 01:52 PM.2H7 (79) owned since '89

I have had oil drip from there before, but ended up being a leak of the shift cover. JAT.Life is what happens while your planning everything else!
