Not familiar with the spring inside, but you need 1/4" I.D.

No need for the coil. As long as you cut the line to the right length, there is no issue with kinking. Length is the key though.

Item # 5187K63 PVC Tubing for Fuel and Lubricant 1/4" ID 3/8" OD Price is $0.61 pr foot. Order in 25, 50 & 100 foot increments. Shipping might be around $8.00 That brings the cost to $0.93 pr foot. That's still better than what you can get at the local M/C or auto store. And they always ship next day. I placed an order at 4pm PST and UPS delivered the following day. (excluding weekends)
You can make a 1 1/2" diameter bend in it before it kinks. which is way better than what you need.
25 feet is way more than what I need but it gives me extra for keeping several feet in my tool kit for emergencies and at that price I use two, six foot sections to keep the tank out of the way while tuning the carbs.
Only drawback I found is the tubing is clear yellow...

thanks for the info I still prefer to put the anti-kink coil on it. I am sure if it is just right it will not kink, but i have tried a lot of different lengths and they have all kinked. I have probably already been through 25 feet of line after putting the coils one the lines that cool my computer I am a huge believer. plus they are cheep.

Sounds like you are running the right petcock to the right carbs and the left to the left. That can make them kink.

He's got a Special, with the Octy. Not as simple as that... The Octy makes it so even an extra 1/2" in one of the 8 pieces of fuel line can cause a kink.

                    Tygon fuel line

"TYGON fuel line the the highest quality available. Resistant to sunlight, hardening, cracking, and kinking. Flexible from --35˚ F to +165˚F."

Tygon is available in black or clear from 650 Central. I'm sure it's available elsewhere as well.
