I know it's a 2 way but you could use just one of the sockets. They may even make a 1 way version.XS1100F 1980 European model. Standard. Dyna coils. Iridium plugs. XS750 final drive (sometimes). TCs fuse box (well, the one he sells) has six slots for fuses. I have wired it up on five or six XS11s now. What I do is to put all of the fuses into the new fuse box. You end up with a 30 amp for main fuse, a 20 amp for the two larger size brown wires, and four 10 amp fuses for the ignition, headlight, tailight, and the auxillary fuses. I just run the red wire that is connected to that existing aux fuse panel up to the new fuse box and plug it into the one side. The black wire just gets grounded anywhere.Life is what happens while your planning everything else!

Oh, if by ground you mean to connect the negative supply wire to the bike frame, well, of course if you DON'T do that, the darn thing won't work at all. ALL circuits need a return, otherwise they ain't CIRCUITS
On the other hand, GROUND has a whole different meaning in the electrical / electronic world.Former owner, but I have NO PARTS LEFT!

Finished job.
Man I really want to get in there and clean those dust piles in the nook and crannies. But that's a job for another day. I was thinking about the main fuse but I kinda like the idea of it being under lock and key on the other side, still debating though. Aux. power for another day have not decided which route to go with that yet.
Sadly headlight issue remains the same. low beam brighter than high beam
Well going out for a cruise with the mrs. Hawks Nest (upstate NY) if anyone knows it or caresBAMN!

I would suspect the wires/connectors for the headlights. Check your left switch assembly by taking it apart and cleaning and checking EVERYTHING. I look for "loose" solder connections. If not that, check the ground wires in the headlamp bucket. You need a GOOD ground to complete the circuit.

I'm wondering if the RLU is kicking in with a burned out high beam filament? Either that or you have a wiring problem and the headlight is backwards and it's still the same issue but it's really the low beam that is out and when you hit the high beam it's thinking it's the low and it's out so the high comes on a half brightness (which is what it's supposed to do), it's also possible that the headlight indicator might be out and that is what's happening anyways. Double check the headlight, cause it's sounding like that might be the problem.BAMN!
