      Well I'll probably just do that then since it seems the cheapest and easiest thing to do.

        Just keep in mind that those "orange plastic filters" also serve as the reserve function withing the fuel system. Without the divisions in there from those, when you run out of gas, you are out.

        as to only running one petcock, all you would need to do is T the line and run one hose to each pair of carbs.
