I need new "O" rings for the carb float needles in the newer carbs and can't seem to find them locally. Does anyone know where I can get them?

Are you coming to the Durango rally? If so, I can bring you four. Or eight, or as many as you want. They're small, I'll find a space for them.
They are from Rocket Seals in Denver. They are about five blocks from me, so it is no big thing to run up there. I'll have to take a carb apart to get the size, unless you have a set of metric calipers to measure yours with.
    Let me know. CZ

Go to Harbor freight and buy an o-ring set. They have Nitrile or Viton. The Viton is spendier but will last longer.

        Size

Captain, I'll measure the ones I got for you, and I am going to the rally in Durango... I've been to many places here, but they are metric and they are not included in any sets, especially from Harbor Fright. I could go to my local Bearings and Drives, but they have to order and then there is a minimum.

Harbor freight has a sae o ring set and a metric o ring set. Two separate boxes.

            "O" ring size

CaptainZap, the "O" rings need to be 2 mm thick with an inside diameter of 7 mm and I certainly do appreciate the help. I have a large selection of "O" rings since I do industrial repairs, but even the metric ones are not thin enough though there are the right ID ones in the kit. I really don't want to buy another whole kit even if there are the ones I need in it.

I am working tonight but I bought a bunch from someplace online. Can't remember where exactly right now and I haven't put them in yet. I will measure them when I get home and if they will work I can get you 4 or 8 if you want future replacements. Prolly have like 20 of them. I can repost tonight for you so you know for sure.

OK, I'll hold off till you guys get it figured out.
I may have some spares in my pile-o-parts, I'll look.

                  Hey Dick,
For what it's worth, I dug around in my can-o-parts and found the wrapper that the o-rings came in, and it said that the size is 1.5 X 7.
As I remember, when I bought them, we tried 2 X 7, and they would not smoosh down enough to go in the hole.
Did you find some yet? CZ

                    Other problems

No I haven't found anything yet and I did put the old ones back in after cleaning and using soap to make them slippery so as not to break them. The carbs are the least of the worries now. Compression test shows 150-140-140-0. Compressed air in spark plug hole comes out intake, rotated crank 360 just to make sure it wasn't supposed to be open and still open. I checked piston by putting compressed air in the crankcase vent and nothing came out plug hole, so I'm assuming bent valve since I found the CCT mounted upside down which tells me the PO did some tinkering and didn't know what he was doing. I'm expecting to find a timing problem also.
