    for added saftey i would use some nylon rope or some other adjustable type cords suspended from the ceiling rafters to keep it from tiping while removeing wheels or wrenching on it. i like the idea and thanks for shareing it. would be great for when cleaning wheels ect.

      I got my bike jack for free from a neighbor, because it had lost its rubber pads. He even gave me an old inner tube to glue onto it! Has worked fine for me for the last 3 years. Never had an issue with melting them. Of course, I don't try to work on the bike when its super hot either! I do oil changes on the centerstand anyway.
