just bought one off a 92 vmx12. according to the list on this subject it will work right? just need to elongate top hole. make gasket. thanks!

When I put mine on it was plug and play. No alterations. +1 on the RTV, just make sure the socket head cap screws are not too long and you should be golden.1979XS1100SF

does it matter which hole goes on top? i.e the rachet device on bottom.thanksComment

Not used the Vmax one but typically, it will only fit one way. If you put it in upside down, the bolt hoels will not line up.Life is what happens while your planning everything else!
