    It Figures

Finally got around to finishing up my F's carbs and I made a ugly discovery, the diaphrams all have pinholes. So I'm going to get to try one of the replacement methods. I figured that the diaphrams were scrap anyway, so I tried taking them off by seperating the rings with a screwdriver like James suggested. It works very well indeed, so , now to order the replacement diaphrams. Any suggestions on where?

I haven't replaced a diaphragm, but I have purchased from the following and been happy:

        Sirius Consolidated, Inc
        Parts-N-More
        MOTORCYCLECARBS.COM
        Mike's XS

Also, try a look-up of Sudco. All should have what you are looking for.

I'm going to try the diaphragms on fleabay. I've looked at the prices for some of the other replacement slide assemblies and my wallet keeps running up and hiding behind my liver.

I've bought diaphragms from Siriuscon inc and then seemed of good quality and I've had good luck with them. They were for my XS400 but they did a special order for me of just two of them rather than 4, the install process wasn't too hard.

Look at who you buy from on ebay, sirus con is on ebay and their prices are a bit higher on there and they charge more for shipping on ebay than at their website.
