This is THE TACH I WAS THINKING OF INSTALLING it looks like this It runs off of the Spark Plug wire instead of off the Generator. What do you all think?

If it runs off the plug wire I assume you can choose the number of cylinders. Make sure you choose 2 instead of 4 due to the wasted spark. Or is your good at math you could just always divide by 2 while driving

Hi Nate,
sure, that'll work. But why? If the stock gauges are missing or if their look don't please you, I'd opt for the multi-function unit that's also shown and read speed, distance, rpm and also see what time it is and how hot the engine is getting.
OTOH, if the stock tach don't read properly it could be that the alternator is on the way out and that's the thing you should fix.

I dont mind the stock guages actually however, my tach looks like this... if you notice the top left corner of the picture that the needle has some unknown substance that keeps it from moving...this in turn caused me to do this... and after doing research found that i cannot simply take it apart, clean and fix it...while trying to prove someone wrong on this site I did exactly the opposite resulting in this... and the speedo doesn't work either, i think there is a broken spring inside because it does move but will only read a max of 30 mph and the odo while having ridden it around a the block over and over and over still only reads less than 1 mi...so i thought about replacing these back with stock ones that i know i can get, i thought i'd like to keep the spirit of 2 gauges while updating to digital ones...the add says work with all bikes that have spark plugs, however i am waiting on a confirmation on whether it really works with 2 and 4 cyl motors...

I have done things like that to my fingers many times over. Like I said before, if it is meant to work with a 2 cylinder engine that is what you want. If it only works with a 4 cylinder then your going to have to do the whole divide and drive thing I mentioned. I am pretty decent with math and multitasking but I dont want to be doing that...
