  • XJ1100 Three point case guard question

Does a three point case guard for the XS11 also fit the XJ11 without modification?

    Thanks

Tip. The three points were actually only made for the '78 but they fit all.

Thanks for the info. Thought I'd found one for sale but it's been sold. I'll keep waiting.

        Cheers!

I wouls say most fit, but when I bought a set for my XJ they would not not bolt on until I notched them to clear the exhaust pipes...both sides. This is very rare, most 3-point systems I've seen have no problems, but it is not universal.

Watch the contact points on the mount as mine, Xj1100, touched the engine and grounded out the engine mounts, big VIBRATION to frame. Had to grind the mounts until mounted did not touch the engine. My $ worth

Some excellent points. I'll keep them in mind when I find a set.

              Thanks!
