Thats it im torching my xs!!!

Well i still havent figured out my bike ....still fouling plugs/has rich conditions and i have NO idea what to do anymore ive gone thru the carbs from top to bottom more then once ....should be LEAN as F**k ...didnt help me, now i went thru my my coils everything checked out awesome (i used manual specs). and i checked my stator to and still nothing ....same problem!!!!

Now just for an extra kick in the nuts after i tested everything ...mounted the seat and fuel tank my lights wont work no signals, no neutral lights or anything how ever when i squeeze my front break the neutral light and the cluster lights come back on

WTF!!!!! do i torch the dam thing im seriously thinking about chaining this usless hunk of junk to the back of my truck and to a tree and seeing if i can tear the bike in half

You need a cold one, or 6...

    Where are you located?

Maybe we can get you some extra eyes on the situation...

    I am in San Antonio.

Am I warm or cold? (actually its quite warm here, but I mean am I close to you?)

Back away from the bike.....sloooowwwllyy!!!! Trust me, been there more than once working on these old beast!! not that you are in the mood to pull the bloody carbs one more time, but, have you verified that the pilot jets you have are the correct ones?

Meaning, there are at least three styles of pilot jet that look almost identical and screw right into our carbs. the VM style has eight holes total in the side of each jet, wrong one. The N151 style has no holes in the sides of the jet, wrong one again. Then there is the one we need, for some reason the exact number escapes me at the moment, but its B30/96 or something like that, they have six holes in the sides of the jet.

If you have the wrong jets, it will run like crap most definitely. just last fall there was a fellow in Indianapolis ready to pitch his machine as well, SWMBO was ready to fry him at the stake, we talked and figured he had the wrong jets, stopped by and helped him go over the carbs, he got the right jets in, and runs like a scalded dog.

Ok so tell us a bit more info. What yr bike and earlier or later carbs. Do you know the jet sizes, how many turns out on the mixture screws, pods or airbox, stock pipes etc. Give us something to think about here so we can offer up suggestions.
