    tank idea

I know this is pretty wild but......
I am looking to make my tank as a machined part what do you think about this idea????

This actually has more volume of fuel than stock or otherwise any tank i can find. my 6.32 gallons just in the center.. the round cylinders will hold another 1.2 gallons. if filled up all the way.

This is just my first try at the tank.. i am looking for other ideas..
Now this is the back bone of the bike as well.. i am totally redoing the frame..
the tank is actually part of the frame..

    1978 E XS1100 purchased for =$600.00
crap load of time spent modifying it = Priceless
My bike has the XS motor but can't really call it XS11
(or at least it still looks like the XS motor)
it has about 50% of the frame left from the XS bike

        tank 3 idea

ok I personally like this idea way better than the first tank..

I will start building this friday..
this will be the backbone of the bike.. attachments will be built front and back for attaching the frame etc..

Apparently got some attention last friday with my bike... Someone wants to build a production bike that is modular similar to what i have been puting together. . simplistic snap/bolt together bike design. one that bolts together using a small existing single piston motor.
I am not a bike builder by any means but hey might be an adventure and make a few bucks at the same time..

This is what honda had to do to deal with fork dive on their trailing link front end on their Rune.

There's quite a few extra bits on their version.
