    Very nice!!

Sweet looking ride, like the paint scheme. Ride it and enjoy the fruits of thy labor!!

Thanks, Don. You can't see it from the profile, but it also has a 1" silver stripe flanked by two 1/2" gold stripes down the middle of the tank and trunk. And it runs and rides much better than it looks.

I might, Nate, except the paint on the fairing is stock and perfect. I hate to mess with a good thing. The paint on the rest of the bike, however...

This is what I started with 18 months ago.

Not bad. What did you do with the crash guard that you had on there to start?

Sitting in the garage. I can't use a crash guard with the floorboards since they use the same mounts. The floor boards really are crash bars, though, since the mounts for them are one-inch stainless steel tubing.

                The Old Rat-a-tat-tat

Well now the the 81LH with the 79SF motor is starting and running good it was time to try some things out.
I made a short vid to show what the noise is and how bad it sounds.
You will see that I have it running, then I slip it into first gear and you will notice the rear wheel turn.
There is a dragging brake noise as well, but I have not gotten to the brakes as of yet.
I then switch it up to second gear, the rear wheel virtually stops turning and the noise is almost instant.
I then shift it down and back up but you get the idea.
The old second gear fix is upon me, I do believe.
The way it shifts I think there is a good possibility of a bent shifter fork as well.
If it were not for this site the old Hillbilly's bike would be in many parts by now.
My thanks to all who have helped me so far and those that will in the future.

Postage and the will to pack it up. Spose UPS would take it without a box?

Well if that all then she could get a new home!

I think I may be collecting to many crash guards.....2 point, 2 sets of 3 points, and now maybe this one......I think I have a problem...or I just need more xs's

That's OK, Rasputin. I can relate. I've had transmission issues. But with the Honda I had it on you had to pull the engine and split the cases.
