hooked up a new set today on my xj and is only firing on #2,#1 #3 #4 are wet. where did i go wrong. thanks in advance

It is starting and running though? If so I would first look and make sure all the plug wire connections are good and then I would move to the carbs. How was it running prior to the coil swap.Nathan

I did the same thing with my Accels when I first plugged them in. I just swapped the plug wires from one coil to the other, and it fired right up.1980 XS850SG - Sold

You should state your model and yr in your signature. If you have late model 80/81 carbs then you might want to go one more turn out on the idle jet screws.BDF Special
