The only thing I'll say about it is start sourcing extra u-joints. A 15+" rear shock is going to create a pretty hard angle on driveshaft.

And I think the source that has been found for the u-joints is priced at about $45.

Keep us posted! I do think you will need to work on the transition from the XJ side cover to the R6 tail, though. I also like the lines on the XJ tank over the standard. That's just me, and it's YOUR bike!

I say have at it, it's your bike, make it yours. by the way, what part of Dayton are you in? I have been in New Lebanon for the last fifteen years, but have recently (last week) relocated to Riverside, although I am somewhat out of town for the week, I'll be back in on the 6th, if you have questions or need an extra set of hands wrenching, get hold of me, I do travel a bit in my work, but am usually about and willing to help a fellow biker out. I also get together with some of the guys from Cincinnati every now and again, we also have a social group you will find under the quick links tab, feel free to read some of our inane babble, there's plenty of it and welcome to the site. have a nice day and ride safe

I think you should send me all the XJ11 parts you're replacing

It's your bike to do as you wish with, I personally love the lines of the bikes as is but there's nothing like personalizing something you have made nice. And I agree with Steve, that tank does look like the one on my XJ11 cept mine's Burgundy.
